I Used Google Consumer Surveys To See If This Site Should Be Hit By Panda

Google Consumer SurveysAfter Google Panda 4.1 touched down, it was clear that this site was hit by Panda.

To be honest, I was a bit surprised. Yes, my content is short and to the point, but it is one of the main sources of information about new SEO topics that many SEOs rely on. It is really where many of the stories break around SEO, including Google updates that may be denied but are real Google updates.

That being said, I first polled you guys and most of you said the site should not have been hit by Panda. But that isn't a good poll.

I was told by someone to add a real poll to the site, see if that poll will agree. So I decided to use Google Consumer Surveys - since it is powered by Google, cheap and gives some really easy to understand reports. I launched the poll just about a month ago (30 days ago) on this site and we had lots of responses. Ultimately, the responses show me that this site probably should not have been hit by Panda.

The first question the poll asked my readers was "Overall, how satisfied are you with this website?" Overall, according to the answer on the main screen of the Google system, "very satisfied." But here is the break down exported from the system:

The next question was "What, if anything, do you find frustrating or unappealing about this website?" The answer polled from the system returned "Nothing" according to Google. But here is the output of the data:

The third question was "What is your main reason for visiting this website today?" and for that, Google was unsure. Google said "Too close to call but Trending towards: seo news." Here is the output:

The final question was "Did you successfully complete your main reason for visiting this website today?" and the answer Google provided was "Yes, I was successful." Here is the break down:

Of course, there are things I can do better. But looking at this, it makes you wonder, is this site really Panda food by the original definition of Panda? Does this site serve a purposes? Is it useful? Do people recommend it? Is the content mostly unique and useful to the user?

I guess let's see what happens after the upcoming Panda refresh.
