The Google App Indexing API for iOS recently fixed a bug where it would result in over energy consumption when the app was running and sometimes lead to the app crashing. Google said they recently fixed this bug in the Google Webmaster Help forums.

Google also promised to add Bitcode support for the iOS App Indexing API in the "coming months." Adam from Google said this in the Google Webmaster Help forums, "We hope Bitcode support will be available in the coming months."

This is in response to a developer saying that since iOS 9, Apple requires that all 3rdParty frameworks shall have bitcode enabled. This is a requirements, that will be necessary for new apps built only for iOS9.

So those are two significant updates around the Google App Indexing API for iOS apps.
