Google AdWords Adds Automated Bidding Health Reporting

Google announced on the AdWords blog that they have added more reporting to help advertisers stay on top of how well their automated bidding is working for them.

Google added three new features for advertisers to track their automated bidding including:

  • New alerts that immediately flag bidding issues
  • Bid strategy statuses that appear directly in your campaign and ad group status columns
  • Rich performance reporting for standard bid strategies set at the campaign-level

Here is a screen shot of the alert, which you can see at the top right of the page, the bell icon:

The columns in the AdWords report now can show these status, here is a definition of those statuses:

New reports will be available within the next few weeks under the “Bid strategy” dropdown menu in the Campaigns tab to track how changes in your bidding status and targets impact performance over time.
