Google Penguin Algorithm

As we anxiously await the next Google Penguin algorithm release, more and more questions are popping up on it. We know we expect it soon, we are just waiting to hear when.

Gary Illyes from Google is our main go-to-guy at Google on the topic, he has been incredibly transparent on giving us information around the algorithm over the past year. He also added this morning that although he does/did work on the search algorithm, he does not actively work on the Penguin algorithm.

Gary wrote on Twitter, "keep in mind that while I did work on ranking/search quality, i don't actively work on penguin."

Here is the tweet:

How is that for transparency.

Now, this doesn't mean he is not aware of when it will be released and the overall changes. It does mean that he is not intimately involved in the code behind the Penguin algorithm. Although, he is our main go-to-guy on this release, he must be up-to-date on the changes including the fact that it will be real time.
