Frederic Dubut, who lead up search quality and search spam at Bing has received a promotion. He is now the PM of overall Bing's core search team. He announced this on Twitter, although I think it happened a few weeks earlier. He said " I am super excited to share that I am now PM Lead for Bing Core Ranking team.'

Some professional news - I am super excited to share that I am now PM Lead for the @Bing Core Ranking team 😀 I'll keep working closely with my colleagues fighting webspam but will now focus more on building the ML models that return the results that best satisfy our users.

This is great news, it doesn't mean he won't be involved in spam at all it just means he will be a big higher level and focusing on search and ranking beyond just search spam and quality.
Frederic is a super transparent and accessible individual and it is great to see Microsoft put someone like Bing in this role.
It is also nice to hear this didn't come too far after he got married, which was in August. What a year it has been for Frederic and his wife!
