Just a few weeks ago, Matt Cutts talked about blog optimization at WordCamp 2007. While his talk was tailored to the Wordpress blog user, a lot can be taken from it for basic website optimization. To follow up with the confusion relating to underscores versus dashes in URLs, Matt clarifies that Google is still working on treating both as the same, but right now, a brand new siteowner would be best off creating URLs with dashes.
