A number of WebmasterWorld members reported that they have received monetization tips from the Google AdSense team on how to optimize their campaigns.

Some of the tips they received were:

Placing more than one ad unit on a page often generates more revenue. Many of your sites only contain one ad unit.

You may be filtering ads that monetize well on your site.

Referrals can add incremental revenue to your site.

There are mixed results for this. Most advertisers say that they need more information because they are getting the same tips on a monthly basis:

for me it is same as April, about filtering the ads that may be more monetizing.

I tried to empty my filter bags for few days to follow this tip but I started getting MFAs.

I really expect they should tell me which domains I should remove from the filters.

Only a few are seeing improvements by following the tips:

Got the "filtering ads" report, which I tried last april for 1 week and my revenue sank. I put my list back and it's fine now.

Barry just looked into his optimization report, and he mentions that he has received 5 optimization reports since then and every one says "Placing more than one ad unit on a page often generates more revenue." A screenshot of this tip, from our previous coverage, is below:
