Google My BusinessA business owner posted a question in the Google Business Help forums asking how he can get his business to show up for multiple names.

His business has its official business name, which in this case is Quincy Asian Resources, Inc. but most of their customers and prospects know of them by their acronym, QARI. The business owner wants to know how they can come up in a Google Maps search for QARI, the acronym.

Jade Wang from Google offered some suggestions

(1) From the Google My Business dashboard, you can add one business title -- in this case, it's the full official name. The Google My Business dashboard only allows you to add one title.

(2) You can add an alternate name (like an acronym) via MapMaker, but it does need to go through an approval process.

To do the MapMaker edit, you can go to this page to learn more.
