No Flag Day For Google or Yahoo: Bing, Ask & Dogpile Raise The Flag

Today is Flag Day in the United State of America and Bing, and Dogpile all have logos and themes or mentions for the day. We even have a theme here, but Google and Yahoo do not. Here are pictures of the Flag Day themes I have found:

Bing Flag Day

Dogpile Flag Day has a mention: Flag Day

Search Engine Roundtable:

Search Engine Roundtable Flag Day

Now, Google does do Flag day type of logos/doodles internationally. It was Russia Day and check out this logo:

How about Philippine Independence Day:

Or Day of the Enamored in Brazil?

Google Japan also had a special logo for Hayabusa returning to earth:

An interesting mistake of some sorts also Doodle related happened over the weekend. Remember the FIFA logos, well, as reported at, Google Morocco, Egypt, Jordan and Algeria showed a special Doodle that should have looked like this:

الفائز في مسابقة Doodle 4 Google 'أنا أحب كرة القدم'

For about 8 hours, the logo looked like this:

Something was corrupt about that image. It is now fixed.

Anyway, for all American's - happy Flag day. Note, all the logos above are within the past few days, so happy days to you all also!

Dennis Hwang - Notice the last name? That is why there is no Flag Doodle for Flag day in America.

I have to say, Google is my homepage and I was a little upset I didn't see any American Flag. I was in the Army for 8 years, so of course, I want to see it. It's good to be American... though, sometimes I wonder if we're a little too spoiled to be patriotic.

Google is run by communists, so what do you expect?  Google is off my PC, thank you!

I care!  And it's my choice not to have them as my search engine anymore.  I will support those who support America.  Thank you!

I was very disappointed that on Memorial Day a very small flag was on the Google page. So many other events have the whole Google logo designed to recognize the event or person. Sadly, on Flag Day there was no recognition of the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as our Nation's flag. I would hope that these omisssions will not occur next year. We should be proud of our Nation's history. Our children also should know why theses days are special.

It is hard to believe that on the Google logo today (July 4th) there is not one picture from Philadelphia, where The Declaration of Independence was written and adopted... How about Indepedence Hall? Philadelphia IS where our country got its beginning. How could this be totally overlooked?

I agree! I CARE! They can make a doodle for almost everything else, but not the flag? You do not find that odd? I never have liked Google. And now I am sure I will not in the future.

Google can make webpages for Russia Day, but not flag day? That is just sad. Just as FYI Google has a terrible rep on privacy, so uninstall them for that or disrepecting the USA.

Google has a terrible rep who privacy. I would drop them.

I switched to Bing already. I did it when google put some IDIOTIC liberal into their logo who said that it would be nice if George Bush was killed !!! What if some conservative notable person said that about slick willy clinton or now, about barry soetoro ?????? The TWO FACED LIBERALS would want him STRUNG UP AND THEN JAILED !!! But, a LIBERAL GET'S PRAISED, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE ????? GOD BLESS AMERICA !!!! NOW, EVEN MORE THAN EVER !!!!
