Lee Odden Interviews Google's Adam Lasnik

Adam Lasnik, aka Mini Matt, was interviewed by Lee Odden. The interview is Lee's Online Marketing Blog and goes through how he became a Googler, his job as a "webmaster liaison," his typical day, the forums and blogs he reads, and other topics like Google Base and SEO certification. It makes for a great read.

It's unfortunate that Google is reluctant to step into the role of helping to certify search optimizers. I don't care how popular in the forums and conferences the people currently offering SEO certification may be. None of them are qualified to be certifying anyone.

While the search engines would not give away their trade secrets if they were to certify people, they could certainly help dispel a lot of the nonsense that is constantly being propagated through the SEO community.
