A Serious Google Maps Bug

Sep 28, 2006 • 10:03 am | comments (23) by twitter Google+ | Filed Under Other Google Topics

When I mean serious, I mean serious. Google Maps has a huge bug. And by bug, I don't mean a technical glitch, I mean a real bug. Take a look at this map of Germany, zoomed in, and you will notice what bug I am talking about. Yea, that is a huge bug, taking over the German landscape.

As I said at Search Engine Watch Blog;

Don't worry, it is not some alien from outer-space. It appears that a bug got stuck between the "glass plate and the film during the scanning process."

It was probably born here: http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/showthreaded.php/Cat/0/Number/484568/ That's that weird site in the desert of China where the army recreated the entire region of Aksai Chin (occupied since the 1962 war with India) in 1:500 scale. What it's being used for, that's what nobody can figure out. Lacking any other clear answers, I'd say it's for raising giant insects.
