May 30th, Google AdWords Spreadsheet Edit Shutting Down

AdWords SpreadsheetGoogle announced they are sunsetting, removing the option for AdWords advertisers to modify their campaigns through the spreadsheet edit option.

The spreadsheet edit option is going away May 30, 2013. The feature launched in 2009 but Google said, since they now offer two alternative bulk edit options, there is no longer a need for this option. Google said:

We have released bulk editing to help you make large-scale changes across your AdWords account, and keyword bulk uploads to help you add, edit and remove keywords at scale.

If you still use this method, then Google gives you advice on how to switch at the blog post.

Judging from the WebmasterWorld forum thread on this topic, it doesn't seem like too many advertisers are upset about this - at least not yet.
