Here is a recap of what happened in the search forums today, through the eyes of the Search Engine Roundtable and other search forums on the web.
The remedies memo is out for Google's ad tech monopoly ruling. What ever happened to Google Discover showing up on the desktop version of Google's home page? Google is turning the local knowledge panels, your Google Business Profile, into an AI Overview listing. Google Search profiles lowered the follower count requirement, updated the design for articles, made it easier to manage multiple profiles and added website badges. OpenAI is testing a new ad format in ChatGPT named Sponsored Agents and more ad changes. Bing is testing Top Picks, Sale, Price Drop, Views and more labels. Google is testing the Sponsored Places ads that expand when you hover over the ads within Google Search.
