Google has updated the Search profiles with a new article design, a single login to manage multiple Search profiles and only 10,000 followers on social platforms are required.
Google wrote, "we're introducing updates to Search profile to help publishers better highlight their content and connect with their audiences on Google."
Google updated the Search profiles layout and design for articles "with enhanced article views." Google updated the display of articles in Search profiles "to make it easier for people to discover and dive deeper into your content." The image thumbnails are optimized for the Search profiles design and Google increased the length of headlines.
Google also reduced the number of followers from 100,000 initially, then to 35,000 last month and now down to only 10,000 on YouTube, Instagram, X, or TikTok. So more publishers can sign up.
Finally, you can now manage multiple Search profiles with one Google login. Google wrote, "Some media organizations manage the digital presence of many different publications. With new multi-account support, you can now claim and manage Search profiles for all of your sub-brands from a single login, so you can access and update your profiles, without having to juggle multiple accounts."

Indeed, I can see that for managing multiple "search profiles". https://t.co/eVnoz5spn8 pic.twitter.com/iAJUj9zvJ7

I should also note that Google recently added the ability to edit your handle.
Just one note:
The only issue is now that I had to claim my other channels with a different Google account, I now can't move that to my main Google account because it is already claimed - is there a way to remove a Search profile to handle this @rmstein ? https://t.co/4yc6M4OXKT pic.twitter.com/2reWyTogDH
