Earlier this year, Bing added a speed test widget to their search results page for a query on [speed test] like search results.

Well, now, Google is caught testing a similar widget for similar searches. Pete Meyers posted a screen shot on Twitter showing the Google speed test tool in their search results. Here is that screen shot:

Google Speed Test Tool

The help document for this speed test is over here. It explains that Google partners with Measurement Lab (M-Lab) to run this test. Additionally:

To run the test, your IP address is shared with M-Lab, but no other personal information is shared. M-Lab incorporates your test results, which include your IP address, into their collection of global Internet performance data. M-Lab makes this information publicly available to advance Internet research.

I personally cannot replicate this speed test widget but you can try for [check internet speed] or other variations of that query in Google.
