Google Turkey LogoWith the Thanksgiving shopping season around the corner, SEOs and Webmasters are scared Google is going to release something big that will potentially hurt their best sales period.

This weekend, there is a nice amount of chatter around Google fluctuations in two different WebmasterWorld. The chatter began yesterday, Sunday for the most part. Here are some comments:

Noticed a rise in rankings today for some keywords that dropped in the last Panda update. Not that I've seen much of an improvement in traffic overall. Quite puzzling.

I too noticed an marked uptick today. Previously panda'd (2011, 2.3) site which has gradually recovered just got another boost. Has been stable since oct 17th-20th. Still not back to previous levels but getting close now.

What do you think fellas, is Penguin still rolling out? I can see some signs it is & some signs that it's finished. How about from your end?

I think Google is still doing something Penguin related. Today a few site sof mine just bounced back to an earlier version in the Google cache. The changes were indexed like always but today they were back to 21st of october. Strange.

The automated tracking tools don't show much fluctuation, so maybe it is just a nice number of individual sites noticing it? Maybe it is a Google test? Or maybe it is a sign of Penguin finishing rolling out? I am not sure.

Forum discussion at WebmasterWorld.
