Google Wants To Let You Modify Your Knowledge Panel

Earlier we reported that Google may add statistics and data around answers Google syndicates from your web site and features in the knowledge panel or featured snippets area on Google's search results page. Google also hinted at giving webmasters more controls over those answers over time.

Well, Google's Gary Illyes reiterated that at the State of Search conference. Greg Gifford, as well as many others, posted on Twitter that Gary Illyes from Google said "Google wants users/businesses to be able to edit their knowledge panel more easily in the future."

That would be nice and would be interesting to see how that integrates within the Google Search Console. I assume somewhat like how Sitelinks are controlled on some level. The delay factor, what edits one can make and so on.

I suspect at this point, this is only an idea, nothing Google is currently working on.
