Google June Core Update

Danny Sullivan from Google informed me on Twitter that the June 2019 core update that started to roll out on Monday afternoon, June 3rd, has finished rolling out on Saturday, June 8th. So the process took about five-days to fully roll out, which seems pretty quick to me.

Here is where Danny told me this:

I was offline Friday night through late last night and I was unable to report this news to you until then.

The June 2019 update was pretty big and some sites got devastated by the update. That is not uncommon for sites that get hit to see 20% to up to 90% drops in traffic but for some, those traffic drops can be more hurtful than other sites that depend on Google traffic less.

Keep in mind, the domain diversity update also rolled out during this, this one started between June 4th and ended up June 6th.

Google Core Update: June 3rd through June 8th. Google diversity update: June 4th through June 6th.

I hope you all can tell the difference between these two and any other updates Google released during this window.
