Google Bot Io Search

Google gave really only two SEO focused sessions at I/O this year, although, Google published all the sessions they thought SEOs and webmasters would care about.

One session announced something new around JavaScript crawling and indexing named Dynamic Rendering, which I hope to cover next week. The session covers a lot around crawling and indexing, a lot of the issues with JavaScript and how Dynamic Rendering can help. The session description:

Making a site that is engaging for users but performs well in Google Search requires combining specific server and client side technologies. Learn about the best practices to build and deploy indexable sites and web-applications with JavaScript frameworks. Lessons from this session can be implemented with most modern setups, whether you use Angular, Polymer, React, or other frameworks to build a full-fledged PWA or just use them for parts of a site. The session will also discuss search-friendly design patterns and SEO best practices.

This talk was given by Tom Greenaway and John Mueller of Google:

The next one is more of a basic overview on SEO and search. The session description is below but I believe Google summed some of it up in this blog post.

Google Search can be a great source of traffic to any website. This talk will highlight ways to build out a site's presence in Search, be it for yourself or for others, through hosting platforms, content management systems, or plugins. Learn about the best practices, tools, structured data, and APIs to make it easier to work with new and updated pages over the whole content lifecycle.

This talk was given by Mariya Moeva and John Mueller:
