Google: Duplicate Content Issues & Panda Issues Are Two Different Things

Sites impacted by Google's Panda algorithm have content issues - low quality content issues. But can those be related to having duplicate content? Some SEOs may say so.

But Google's John Mueller said no - duplicate content issues and Panda issues are two different issues he said.

John Mueller answered this on Twitter responding to a Tweet from Marie Haynes asking about this.

The question:

There is no duplicate content penalty, but could a site with crawl issues dt duplicate content be negatively affected by Panda?

The answer:

Those are 2 separate & independent things.
