Google AdWords Medical Ads Replaces Ad URL With Web Site Type

Glenn Gabe shared a screen shot on Twitter yesterday showing how for a query on [migraine symptoms] one of the ads listed had the green URL replaced with the type of web site it is.

Here is a screen shot but I can personally replicate it on mobile and desktop:

Google Adwords Subject Url Instead

The change is actually a year old, as many pointed out to Glenn. Glenn even linked to a source that covered the change over here.

In short, FDA required Google to label these ads with the type of web site.

I guess it isn't seen so often, so I figured I'd cover it here.
