The big news for Google AdWords advertisers is that Google is now offering telephone support for AdWords advertisers in the U.S. and Canada.
To call AdWords support, dial 1-866-2-Google between Monday-Friday, 9am-8pm Eastern Time.
Honestly, I am a bit surprised because I know many advertisers used that number to get phone support often. In fact, I've used it numerous times this past year for some help and I have no idea it wasn't free and available to all U.S. based advertisers. I guess I am an AdWords noob.
Of course, Google still prefers you check out the AdWords help forum first, as well as the FAQs and online classroom. If that fails, call the 800 number.
Folks at WebmasterWorld are mocking the use of Google naming this "free" telephone support. If you think about it, advertisers are giving money to Google and Google is now saying, hey - we will give you free telephone support to help you with the money you are giving us.
