Google AdWords Tests Additional Description Field

Valerio Celletti posted on Twitter (hat tip @Gianps) a screen shot of a new Google AdWords test where they are testing showing an additional description field in AdWords ads to make the ad even longer.

Here is the screen shot from the AdWords interface from Valerio, you can click on it to enlarge:

The "additional description (optional)" field is what Google is testing. Yea, that makes the ad pretty big.

Ginny Marvin from Search Engine Land got a statement from Google saying "Google is constantly testing out new products and features to improve user and advertiser experience."

So I guess this is a real test - I wonder if it will stick. If you'd ask me if it would stick five years ago, I'd say no way but now, with AdWords anything goes.
