At the beginning of this week, we reported Google posted payment hold notices to many old publishers in the Google AdSense console. The message told these publishers that a postcard was in the mail and they needed to enter the pin on that postcard into the AdSense portal to verify their physical mailing address.

The notice is now gone and these publishers no longer have to verify their physical mailing addresses with Google for some reason. I suspect the original notice was invalid and a bug and Google removed it.

By the way, the postcard never arrived at my office and my message disappeared and was turned off as well.

Here is what the message looked like:

The ongoing WebmasterWorld thread has publishers confirming the message was turned off and vanished from their dashboard as well.
