Google 2015 Special Olympics World Games Doodle

Google has just posted the Google Logo, aka Doodle, for the 2015 Special Olympics World Games.

The picture above is of that Doodle.

It will be the 47th annual Special Olympics World Games and it has 7,000 athletes from 177 countries. These athletes will compete in 25 different events over the next 9 days.

Ryan Germick, the Doodle Team Lead at Google, lead this Doodle. It is based on the Circle of Inclusion campaign from this organization.

Eunice Shriver helped create the Special Olympics after she founded Camp Shriver in 1962, which later turned into the Special Olympics in 1968. Eunice Shriver is a member of the Kennedy family.
