adCenter Impression Bug Mistaken As Quality Ban By Some Advertisers

In late October, we reported on a potential adCenter impression or ad serving bug. Microsoft confirmed the issue but many didn't stop complaining.

One advertiser updated us in the WebmasterWorld thread last night saying the reason why his impressions dropped to zero was not due to the impressions bug but rather he was banned from using adCenter. He was upset that he was not informed of the quality issue on his ads and had to submit two support tickets to figure it out.

He wrote:

I finally heard back, and yep, all my ads stopped running because of 'quality issues'.

Can you believe they did this without informing me, or putting a flag on the account that a CSR could see and tell me about? OH NO, Microsoft did this in the sneakiest way imaginable and it took a trouble ticket and two weeks to find this out! What kind of low down underhanded business practice is this? I'm not even arguing about the 'quality' issues. But doing it in this ultra lame manner? Unbelievable.

I wonder how many other advertisers are in the same boat as him? Maybe Microsoft ran a quality check at around the same time as this bug occurred causing confusion on both the advertiser side and support side?
