A DigitalPoint Forums thread reports that Google is now updating their AdWords Traffic Estimator data monthly.
GuyFromChicago, a respected forum member, said;
Last week I received an e-mail from Google and one of the topics was the announcement that the traffic estimator stats are now updated monthly. The announcement read:"Selecting new keywords to meet your campaign goals can be challenging, including the process of getting traffic and cost estimates on potential keywords. We are pleased to announce that traffic estimates are now being updated monthly. As a result, the data will be more accurate than it has been in the past. The specific date that the data will be updated will change from month to month."
I don't think making it more accurate would be all that difficult. When you start with "not at all accurate" it should be pretty easy to move to "a little better than before"
I wonder if advertisers will take notice.
