Since about 7am EDT Thursday morning, December 6th, WebmasterWorld has been offline.
The issue is not clear but I do know that it is a main source of content for this site and thus the news here in the morning has been impacted by the site being down.
Brett Tabke from WebmasterWorld tweeted saying it was his fault. He wrote, "just glitched webmasterworld while doing some config work. working on a restore. sorry. it could be awhile."

Anyway, I hope it isn't serious. It has been over an hour and still no sign of a restoration.
WebmasterWorld is a huge part of the SEM/SEO community, so this is a major issue right now for us. But I am confident it will be back soon and we will forget this ever happened.
Forum discussion at, well, um, right now, no where but Twitter.

I guess that's why you shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket huh? =) Here's hoping it's back up soon.

If it's going to be a while, he may want to have the server give out a 503 maintenance code instead of 200 (for the main page) and 404s.

Losers of the Web unite! WMW has zero solutions now, merely Google cheerleaders serving as moderators and a few desperate people.
