Google Mouse TV Logo

Google Germany has a special logo for the TV series there named Die Sendung mit der Maus, aka The Program with the Mouse. It first ran on TV today in 1971.

It was controversial in that children were not allowed to watch TV in Germany up until that point. German law forbid children under six years of age to watch TV.

Initially, the show was shunned by teachers and education authorities but since then it has been given 75 awards.

The creators of the show were Dieter Saldecki and Gert Kaspar Müntefering and Armin Maiwald.
