Google Glass Melting

The new beta Google Glass devices are now out in the explorers hands, I am told a few thousand have them now. That being said, the wear and tear of normal use has shown some weakness in these units.

We've seen cases of broken Google Glass where the frame has snapped. Now we are seeing cases where the foil within the Glass component melts and boils away.

The picture above, is one of many, reported by Google Glass Explorers, where use outside in hot, humid weather for a long period of time, may cause the Glass to melt.

So a tip to Glass users. Bring a cooler bag for your Glass.

Mike Brady posted this picture on Google+ for all to see.

Prolonged exposure to heat and humidity is bad for electronics, sensitive glass components, and film coverings? Gasp!

If Google wants people to wear these 24/7, they have to design them to withstand a wide variety of weather conditions, including rain, hotness, coldness, wind, thunder, lightning, rainbows, clouds, snow, flurries, sleet, light drizzles, precipitation, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, sharknadoes, fire, and meteor strikes.

We should alert the village elders!

I just got a pair and have not even been outside, and keep getting a message that says, Glass must cool down to run properly! They get very hot just after 10-15 minutes from wearing them. I guess I should not complain, since I did not buy them though, but still!
