It has been about three months since our last Google Toolbar PageRank update - and Google has pushed out a new one yesterday.
There are several forums reporting the update, including WebmasterWorld, DigitalPoint Forums and Cre8asite Forums.
Typically with Toolbar PageRank updates, they cause a lot of discussion but that is all.
I never get all that excited for the update - but it is required posting here, tradition almost.
I hope you have more green Google pixels!

more and less... but it seems drawn to sites that have fresh content even brand new sites have been rewarded with decent PR... there is no consistency to it as others who have grown organic traffic have increased PR and some have lost organic traffic while gaining PR... so the case point here to remind you that obviously PR doesn't relate to organic traffic but the new PR seems to be related to freshness of content as brand new sites can score some green....

One of my sites went down, other site saw home page PR go up while sub forum pr go down one, interesting yet I'm experiencing increased traffic.

In general, an upward direction. Before the update, my homepages had significantly higher pageranks than other pages in my sites. After the update, the pageranks seemed more evenly spread, and some inner pages had much higher pageranks than before. Anyone else notice this effect?

Hi Barry, I have noticed your site has been stuck on PR4 for quite sometime. I would have thought this site would be atleast PR6 or maybe even 7. Have you been penalised by google in the past?

My site go a very large increase so I am quite happy. Before the update my site was at a PR1. The Home Page went to PR3 but most of the inter pages when to PR5. Any thoughts? I would have through my homepage should have the highest PR. www.blueridgetaxes.com Take a look at the site and let my know your thoughts.

I know it doens't really mean much anymore, but it's always nice to see a little more green in that toolbar. I'm pretty pleased with the update for many of my sites.

I have the same thing for one of my sites. It doesn't worry me, but it is a bit unusual. It may mean there are a few more "authority" links pointing at your inner page or a larger number of lesser quality links or some combination of both. Have you interlinked your inner pages with text links and also text links back to your home page in your content - not just via menu's?

I am seeing google.com PR=9 and bing.com PR=NA, is it true or there is some problem in my PR tool. Is it a glitch in PR update? Or this is going to be maintained for next PR update?

Has your generic search engine traffic been increasing year on year? Honestly the TBPR isn’t the end all be all.

As a professional blogger and online marketer, I get an insight in to both worlds when it comes to Google and their page rank updates. I have found increasingly that Google is valuing websites with better PR and search engine rankings based around the amount of content each specific page has. I'm increasingly (for myself and clients) focusing on internal link building and content creation above external link building, however in my industry backlinks come naturally back to me due to sources needing to be provided. If there is any advice I could give a business owner, it would be this - don't ever be disheartened or let down by your PR; focus mostly on the quality of your website for organic visitors and Google will reward you with traffic accordingly, and not according to PR.
