Google announced that they have brought over the voice search feature from mobile and the Google home page to Google Maps.

So now you no longer have to type your location's name, just say it.

I ran about twenty tests and it worked pretty well. It had some issues with Hebrew named locations, but overall, it worked very well. I even said Yerushalayim, Israel and it figured it out as Jerusalem, Israel. Yerushalayim is the Hebrew name for Jerusalem.
