Search Google for [gay], [lesbian], [homosexual] or related terms and you will see Google convert the search box for the boring white/gray box to a rainbow colored search box.
Google has been doing this for years. I believe since 2008. The search box has recently started to get a rainbow theme back in 2011.
Google does this during Gay Pride Month to show support for the LGBT community.
