Last night, Facebook announced you can now search posts and status updates directly in Facebook with their Graph Search.
Now this is what Facebook users have been asking for.
Some things you can search for include:
- Posts about Dancing with the Stars by my friends
- Posts by my friends from last month
- Posts written at The White House
- Posts I commented on
- My posts from last year

Starting today, Graph Search will include posts and status updates. Now you will be able to search for status updates, photo captions, check-ins and comments to find things shared with you.

I don't use FB, but glad to see something different from Google. Too much of Google lately.

I wonder what the usage levels of the 'new ways to search' on Facebook are. I rarely use Facebook, so my experience is probably far from the norm, but it seems like Facebook isn't really used for 'discovery', but rather, is used for keeping up with and sharing things with people you already know. But like I said, I am probably not Facebooks target audience, so it would be interesting to see the data.

All they need add is web search and the world would change. I know many people who do all their Internet activity via Facebook. Watch out Google!

First this search thing is not working on my side and in other post at SEL I see many comments with same view. Yes we surely need some other search engines and things like it working to bring competition.Google is enjoying monopoly a lot.
