Google AdWords Now With Single Line Descriptions?

Rod Hull now spotted single line descriptions in the AdWords ads on the Google search results.

You can replicate this by searching for [ebel 1911]. Here is a picture:

one line adwords ads

Prior to that, he spotted AdWords ads that wrap, which is not something we had prior to Google Instant.

I don't believe I ever saw one line descriptions or wrapping AdWords ads prior to Google Instant. Maybe it is a bug or maybe a feature?

I wouldn't be surprised if it's two short lines wrapping and appearing as one

How about someone who just deliberately omitted line 2 of text as a point of difference? I've often thought of experimenting with that in a crowded space.

@Mike - I think this is exactly what's happening here. A strange new idiosyncracy of Google Instant. @David - It isn't possible to omit the second description line. Google insist there's something in each line. Otherwise I think we'd have seen a lot of people already testing 1 line versus 2 line ads.
