Bug Or Future: Google Search Results Showing Only Google Listings?

The Converseon blog posted a picture of a Google search results set for [car rental nyc] that most people cannot replicate.

The result set showed the maps box above the AdWords results, but also only showed Google Place pages in the search results. For some reason, it is also only showing the past two months filter, which may be why for the unusual search results.

Here is a picture of the results.

A WebmasterWorldtalks about the 'what if' this really happened and also there is a lot of speculation around the screen shot itself. Some call it 'doctored' but honestly, it likely wasn't. What is likely is that this was a limited test or someone clicked on a filter by accident causing this unlikely behavior to occur.

I personally think we do not have to worry about all the results displayed by Google ever being all leading to a Google page. Of course, many would argue.

The fact that it is only showing the "Past 2 Months" filter is not unusual. My search for "car rental nyc" also only shows the "Past 2 Months" filter. Clicking the "more search tools" link will show all of the other filters.

It looks very photoshopped to me.

I did a search for it and the results I got back in both Firefox and Chrome results came back completely normal...

I've seen this before. Told by Google that is a very limited test. This is not photoshopped.
