Possible Ask.com Search Index Update?

Senior Member, Billy, at WebmasterWorld has a solo post asking if anyone else noticed a shift in traffic from Ask.com.

Seems to me that Ask underwent a recent update. My traffic just about doubled. Anyone else seeing anything.

I have not seen any other posts out there on this. Nor have I noticed specific changes with this specific site.

But I looked at some of my clients sites and as of Thursday, it appears they have seen an increase in traffic from Ask.com.

So maybe Ask.com did an index update or even an algorithm update recently.

His traffic doubled? So now he has gotten 4 visitors from Ask? LOL. I love Ask, but the traffic it sends is negligible, from what I've seen. Shame, really.

One example client of mine had zero visitors in the past, on average and now 90+ per weekday.

It does look like something could have changed. I don't get much traffic from Ask myself but I have pretty good rankings for some keywords and a few seem to have improved recently.

I haven't seen much in the way of traffic increases, but SERP rankings for select keywords for our site improved dramatically about a week or two ago. We were only recently included in their results, though, so I don't know if that's played any factor.
