Google Checkout Bug: Shopping Cart Icons Shown on All Ads

It appears that the Google Checkout icon feature was flipped on for all ads earlier today. The first report of the bug was issued at WebmasterWorld at 7:55 AM (EST), and then more reports starting trickling in. Now the bug seems to be patched, but it took about an hour and thirty minutes to fix it.

SearchViews captured a screen shot of their reprise media sponsored listings sporting a little blue shopping cart icon.

I would like to share with you something I just noticed. I do not know how to share with you guys a couple of screen-shots of what I see as I am composing this note, but logging onto Google UK appears to be a link to Google Checkout "Get back-to-school discounts with Google Checkout" When then following the link it takes us to American products that seems to be available only for the US of A. Now; I do have a check out account but it looks like here Google is asking me to register once more like if I did not have any account yet. Also the only country available to register is the US. Would that mean that Google is in the testing for the UK and that we are about to see this service landing over here (or just a promo to see how it goes)? Also, I have to mention that this only appears on my FireFox browser....not on IE. I do not know what you will make out of this but I figured I just tell you. Cheers, Karim PS: Do not display my email address please.
