Time to Index & Ranking in MSN is a Week or Less

According to two Search Engine Watch moderators, Mikkel and Marcia, it takes less then a week to get indexed and ranking at MSN Search. The small thread is named How Long does it Take for New Site being Indexed to Receiving a Ranking through MSN? Answered by a few folks including;

Mikkel deMib Svendsen: MSN is probably the engine that index and rank new pages the fastest at the moment. At least, thats my experience. I usually get most new sites indexed and well ranked within a matter of days.
Marcia: Yep, less than a week from when the first pages are uploaded. And then they pick up new pages added almost immediately.

Sounds about right, a couple of my housemates recently setup a new site and were quite quickly excited at MSN crawling/indexing it. Yahoo! wasn't too far behind in crawling, though not sure if the site was lsited shortly after that or not.

yes that is true.

i can see alot of changes in my ranking on msn.

This info is not exactly correct! It's all a matter of luck if you ask me. I've had sites ranked by MSN in a matter of two weeks in the past but my new http://casas-en-miami.blogspot.com/ has been up for about a month and although it recently got listed, only 1 post of about 33 posts is actually indexed and you can only find it if you look for the site URL. I am already getting some traffic from Google (about 30 visits a day), and Yahoo hasn't even indexed it yet (although I answered a Yahoo answers question). Is there a way to accelarate the process in windows live search apart from getting a bunch of bunch of back links from high pr sites (I already have about 3 backlinks)?

Hi - I found that MSN indexed me fairly quickly, but not noticably quicker than Yahoo & Google. What I did notice though, on a range of key terms, is how quickly I got more success with these terms on Google & Yahoo - MSN has proved to be really slow, and if the same had happened on Google, I would think I'd been sandboxed.....seems strange, as most people writing on these topics seem to suggest that MSN is the easiest Search Engine to rank well on.......
