Google Released Numrange Search

Google announced yesterday, a new Refine Search feature named Numrange search. This is a pretty neat feature, that I know I wanted in the past. It can be used many ways.

Just add two numbers, separated by two periods, with no spaces, into the search box along with your search terms.

(1) inventions 1850..1899
(2) DVD player $250..350
(3) 5000..10000 kg truck

And many other uses. I posted a thread about this feature at Cre8asite Forums.

This is not actually knew. I have been using it since last year.

Not new, Barry -- this came out last year, at the very least. They just seem to be blogging to draw attention to it.

Why does Google do that. :) Hope this helped someone.

maybe it's just "out of beta" now... "mastercard 0..9999999999999999 filetype:xls" turned up nothing, maybe people are getting smarter? or maybe google blocked the system from returning credit card numbers. interesting.
