Confusion Over Google AdSense New Payment Page

AdSense New Payment PageA WebmasterWorld thread has several Google AdSense publishers pretty confused over the new payment page.

If you haven't seen it yet, log in to your AdSense account and you should.

Google started to recently force users into this new payment page. As you can see from the screen shot above, there is a notification about the new page.

It leads to this Google help page which talks about the new payment page experience.

The biggest confusion, outside of the "current balance" scaring some people, is the required action for some publishers to update their bank information.

Publishers located in the United Kingdom and United States are not required to update their bank details to the IBAN format. Publishers located in Italy, Greece and Finland who have previously entered and verified IBAN bank account details are not required to do so again.

Some Canadian publishers are confused, here is what one said:

Since Canada is not included, they make it appear that we need to enter an IBAN and BIC. But when I did a test to add a new bank, IBAN and BIC fields are not there, only Bank Code and Bank Branch. Very confusing.

I suspect a lot more questions and concerns will come up this week.

I see payment system updated for my friend in UAE. But my account is still in old payment system. Can anybody tell how and when they will update other remaining accounts to new payment system?

They say we were upgraded buy know we can't receive checks by mail. Before we had the option of one or the other. Now we are forced to only one option. Seems like an downgrade not an upgrade.
