Google's Matt Cutts: Wildcard Support Not Planned For Google Disavow Tool

Google Disavow Link ToolThe Google Disavow Tool is probably one of the more talked about webmaster functions in the past few months. New questions come up about it every day.

Martin Macdonald ‏asked Google's Matt Cutts on Twitter if Google had "any plans to allow wildcard disavows" like they do for the robots.txt protocol? Matt Cutts responded, "not that I know of," which means they are not in the plans.

Here is the tweet:

I assume as time goes on, more and more advanced functionality will come to the tool. But right now, Google has said, they want you to use the disavow tool like you would a machete.
