Above is the animated GIF of the new Google logo, which Google announced yesterday and went through the process of changing the logos throughout all their properties. There are still some places you can get the old Google logo, but Google was fas tin replacing it, even physically at the GooglePlex.

With that, some of the UI has changed in Google search to go with the new flow of the logo. More on that over here where Google said:
With mobile devices in mind, we’ve also made some changes to our search results page to help you more easily find what you need and dive into diverse content such as images, videos, news stories and more - by simply swiping and tapping.
Personally, when it comes to design, I am not a maven but the logo looks good to me.
