Moz Won't Be Updating Their Search Engine Ranking Factors

MOZ

The last time Moz updated their search engine ranking factors study was over two years ago in August 2015. Well, that might be the last time they ever update it.

Moz said on Twitter that they have no plans on updating this study, something they've typically updated every other year.

Moz wrote "unfortunately, we do not have plans to update the survey as we've done in the past." I guess this is part of their cost cutting efforts?

Rand Fishkin, the co-founder of Moz, who is leaving the company, said on Twitter in response to that, "Thanks Roger. I might do it solo on my own and publish :-)"

Of course, it is hard to say exactly how beneficial those studies were. There were always very controversial with correlation vs causation, etc but at the same time, I do love how it got the community together, to think and talk about the data.
