John Steinbeck's Google Logo Features His Greatest Works On His 112th Birthday

Today on the Google home page is a special Google logo, aka Doodle, to celebrate the life and contributions of John Steinbeck. The American author, novelists who is well known for works such as The Grapes of Wrath, Cannery Row, of Mice and Men, The Pearl, and Travels with Charley in Search of America - amongst others.

But it is interactive and it takes you through the scenes of those novels one by one, letting you share quotes from them on Google+, Facebook or Twitter or let you search to learn more about the author.

He was born today on February 27, 1902 in Salinas, California and passed away at the age of 66 on December 20, 1968 in New York City. He won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1940 and a Nobel Prize in Literature in 1962.
