Google's International Women's Day Logo

Google has a special logo up today on most of the Google home pages for International Women's Day.

The special day is on Thursday, March 8th and there is a web site devoted for it at internationalwomensday.com. It was originally named International Working Women's Day and always is celebrated on March 8th. It was actually first observed on February 28, 1909. In Russia in 1965, it was the first time a country made the day a non working day.

Google's logo is very fitting for the day, representing both women and of course the Google logo.

For more details on the day see internationalwomensday.com and Wikipedia.
