Google announced their top searches for 2014, something they do every year - with an emotional video to recap those top searches.
We got Robin Williams, World Cup, Ebola, MH370, ALS, Flappy Bird, Conchita Wurst, ISIS, Frozen and Sochi as the top ten. You can see the details over here.
Google also said that they are doing something special in the search results for [google 2014] - I do not see it myself, so maybe not yet.
Finally, Google announced a new Google Trends. The updates to Google Trends include a new design including updated navigation menu, updated typography, spacing, and a refreshed design for Top Charts.
