Google To Clarify The Status Of Their Panda Algorithm

Mar 13, 2015 - 8:30 am 21 by

Google Panda BookOver the past week or so, there has been a lot of confusion over Google's Panda algorithm. Specifically, does it run in real time or has it not run in over four months.

To me, it is crystal clear that the Panda algorithm has not refreshed or updated since October 24, 2014. It might run in real-time but it is running old data that essentially doesn't let any site since October recover from that algorithm. But those are my thoughts.

I've been personally going back and forth with Google trying to get a rock-solid statement on the current status of the Panda algorithm and what Gary meant versus what John meant.

In a Google+ thread, Gary Illyes said:

We're working with Barry Schwartz to clarify that, Sal. I caused some confusion by saying too much and not saying enough the same time. Stay tuned

As soon as I have something I can share that is crystal clear, I will likely post it at Search Engine Land first and then here the following morning. I am trying and I know Google is also.
