Google is hosting their first Google News Lab live hangout this coming August 28, 2015.
The live hangout is designed for journalists and storytellers interested in using Google's tools for journalism can ask questions, get advice, hear from specialists within Google and from journalists already using Google tools for news.
The session description says it starts at 10:30 PST or 1:30 EST, but the hangout is actually scheduled for 12:00 (noon) EST), so there seems to be a conflict in terms of the timing. Either way, you can RSVP at this Google+ page and if the time changes, you should be notified.
The agenda, outside of Q&A is:
- Introduction to the News Lab, the new site at g.co/newslab
- Introducing Google friends at Google News and the Webmaster's central team
- Google will also announce a few special programs they are working on that might be of interest.
