Google's New Mobile Display & Video Ads

AdSense Custom Search AdsGoogle announced their next steps in what they think will improve display ads across desktop and mobile platforms.

In the next few months, Google will begin rolling out "several mobile display ad formats and tools across the Google Display Network, the AdMob Network and DoubleClick." These tools are aimed at giving more ad options for advertisers, while making it easier for advertisers to produce, track and analyze these ads.

The new ad formats include:

  • Mobile lightbox Engagement Ads
  • TrueView ads for AdMob network
  • Anchor ad format in mobile
  • Magazine style text ad format for AdMob network
  • Plus a few new tools (a) auto-resizing tool, (b) Flash-to-HTML5 conversion tools and (c) 29 HTML5 and in-app formats available in DoubleClick Studio Layouts.
